If Tomorrow Comes by Sidney Sheldon was one of, if not the first "grown up" book I read when I was about 13 years old. I loved Tracy Whitney and how she and fellow thief/con artist Jeff Stevens were rivals who fell in love. Chasing Tomorrow, written by Tilly Bagshawe in the style of the late Mr. Sheldon (and fully authorized by his estate), is the sequel. It was pretty funny though, that there seemed to be a Twilight Zone-ish time warp - I read the first book in the mid '80s, and it was writtenUsually, when people get to the end of a chapter, they close the book and go to sleep. I deliberately write a book so when the reader gets to the end of the chapter, he or she must turn one more page ~ Sidney Sheldon...Truly you've done it with the Tracy Whitney series. 'if tomorrow comes' was one of my favorite books of Sidney Sheldon and now this. Tilly Bagshawe, even though not as great as Sidney Sheldon has definitely written a gripping novel. I'm so happy to read about Tracy and Jeff again.

Let me be straight..It was just an average read ...I liked some characters and definitely hated some characters...I loved Jeff till the point when he blamed Tracy for cheating on him ..Was he doing something different?I guess no!!Infact he was being dumb all this while ..And this character Rebecca she is just......I would rather not describe her .. Tracy is an interesting character .....If I judge Sidney Sheldon books I would say they are awesome but this book specially is just overrated in my
Im a sucker for a good story about con-men and women. Theres just nothing like pulling off a good caper, especially when its the less savory people who get conned. Sidney Sheldon, one of the most popular writers for TV in the 1960s and 70s and who then turned to writing novels in the 1980s, was adept at creating interesting characters and subjecting them to all sorts of thrilling conditions. By no means have I read all of his works but of those that I have, If Tomorrow Comes is one of my
Tilly Bagshawe has managed to capture the essence of the Sidney Sheldon's novels in many a ways. The impossible heist pull offs, the description of chemistry between characters and everything else has been captured wonderfully. The only flaw in my opinion remains to be the fact that the novel is a tad bit predictable. During the course of reading the novel, I was disappointed to find that my assumptions were proving to be read with each turn of the page. Finally, even the end was disappointing.
I was looking for a furious fight between Jeff and Tracy but nevermind. Maybe that's how it is with maturity. You don't care about your past actions.
