Rin had such a hard time. All I can say is ouch. =(Reread review.. Rin seems a warm soul. The whole series is warm and fuzzy at times.. unlike the snow falling outside right now. =)If were to talk about abusive parental figures, that would be Akito. Its clear that everyone fears his presence as his authoritative figure means one should know their place. Its that or Akito will do it for them. Akito is manipulative, mean, selfish and most of all, possessive. He dislikes change and would use his position to make the Sohma household cower in fear at the sight of him. Akito seems to know everyones strengths and weaknesses, and he uses these to make them think that any ideas
After the emotional vol. 13 this one was a lot slower again and I guess thats okay. =) It unfortunately didnt mean that my heart wasnt broken by some of the characters though. >_< The entire Sohma family is a mess and I blame it all on Akito! *hmpf* Cant help but wonder how this is going to end one day Highlights of this volume: Dont jump around so much, dont run, and make sure to watch where youre going! Think of the next generation!Yes, sir.Haha! Knowing Hiros mother I really wonder why

aaaag I clicked on the wrong book. I HAVEN'T READ THIS ONE YET IGNORE THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN THERE IS NO SPOONEdit: Okay, NOW I have read this book! And holy fuck.
Right from the start this manga had me hooked. How can you not like Tohru? She has to be one of the sweetest people on the planet. All the hopes of breaking the Sohma curse fall on her head. It was interesting to see the relationships grow and change throughout this series. Not only are the characters great, but the storylines were fantastic, although somewhat depressing at times. This is the one series that everyone should read. It was outstanding.
I loved this volume. Yuki's realization at the end makes sense specially in light of the events in this volume. Tohru, in following her mother's footsteps, has been a mother figure for all these kids. Even though she's the same age as most of the zodiac charcaters, and in some cases even younger, she acts as a surrogate mother. Tohru's unconditional love for these characters and the way she takes care of them is a stark contrast to Akito's contrast abuse and manipulation. Where she wins them
