4.4 audiobook-This was my favorite book in the series so far. Carlos the Were Panther finds his irritable irresistible cat nip of a woman and she has a snarky sense of humor. Cat jokes plus, I burst out laughing so many times my family members might have been considering my sanity. She was strong willed, unfaltering and quick with her lip. I liked her and would hang out with her any day.I am not spoiling this read by telling you who she is, what happens or any other details. You know it will endThis was my first exposure to this author. It may be a bit too "campy" for me. I will probably try one more but the overall impression is just ok. The male lead was too effeminate for me. I just have no desire for a man who will put in a show wearing a pink sequined thong. Thank goodness that was just a recollection. I have not read all of the books in the Love at Stakes series. Which is fine as each one can really be read as stand alone novels. Although, I have to say that this book is probably one of my favorites. Instantly I fell for Caitlyn and Carlos. The best part was that Carlos is not a vampire but a were-panter. For a change in a vampire series, it was nice to have a different character type like Carlos. Plus, in a way it made more sense and it was more believable that Caitlyn would fall for Carlos.
