Why I read: Author offered it for review, and honestly, I fell for the cover. Plus I couldnt pass up reading about a vampire named Disco. Favorite Quote: I want this shit over and done. Can we strive to obtain that goal? I have a meaningless existence, and I cant put that kind of action on hold indefinitely. Rhiannon Murphy likes to define her life as a bartender. She gets up, goes to work at the Black Panther, a strip club, and goes home. Her life may seem mundane, and that is exactly how sheThis was a quick and easy read, but it wasn't anything special. I liked it (for the most part), but nothing seemed to jump out at me and make me love it. I felt that most of this book skimmed the surface of the character development. Rhiannon got developed, yes, but none of the other characters did. Even her love interest, Disco, seemed pretty two dimensional.Rhiannon was an interesting character. In the beginning I didn't like her much. I like funny, and I like strong, but I don't like bitchy.

It took me some time to make myself read a story where one of the main characters and possible love interests for the other is named Disco. Thank God it's not his name although it was used one time too many.The story follows a known and reliable pattern: a young woman with a special/different ability catches the attention of paranormals. Since she can identify vampires and ghosts and communicate with the twice-undead, she is as paranormal as the rest of them. This first book is an introduction
