Relation In Pursuance Of Books Heart's Delight (Hjärtans fröjd)

Before Heart's Delight, I was a boy, he thinks. Before Heart's Delight, I was a child When he first saw Ann-Katrin on the bus, he was mesmerized, captivated, consumed. But that was before. Now he sits alone in his room, a sixteen-year-old boy, waiting for her to call. Wishing for her to tell him it was real. It was as perfect as he imagined. But the phone sits silently. The boy continues to wait, systematically destroying all of the objects from their short-lived relationship. He rips up the bus pass from their first meeting. The phone is quiet. He throws the pot of lemon balm she gave him over the edge of the balcony. No phone call. He tosses the black Frisbee and the Swiss Army knife over too. Still the phone stays silent. As he plays their relationship over in his mind like a movie, he wonders: What if his heart's delight doesn't call? Will life be worth living then?

Notice About Books Heart's Delight (Hjärtans fröjd)
This book was really the best book i have read. I think it really made the character's feelings realistic. It gives the guys point of view of love and how he felt when the girl of his dreams didnt even like him back. Its a book alot of girls would read because they dont know how guys feel inside after .

I read it straight through in three hours, written amazingly well, and captures the heart of a teenage boy blind to everything but his exorbitant love for who he thinks is the love of his life. Being a girl, i thought this book captured how a girl is always looking for the perfect boy-friend, while the guy almost surely will fall in love.

A complete fucking disaster

I loved this book so much. The theme of this book was not falling in love for the first time. Although that is what happened, the theme was falling out of love.I loved how the book had such a startling ending, leaving you wondering whether he was glad that Ann-Katrin called or he was too far into desperation that nothing could change his mind about suicide. This book had just the right amount of graphics to keep things relaxed during some more inappropriate parts.I'm really glad I picked up this

a small, quick coming of age novel. I read it in one hour, and I liked it, the story is nothing special though. Just a heartbroken boy and his feelings. But the format of the book is great as well as the writing. I think it is great as a book of its category should be.

I loved the format of this novel. The silent phone. The random mutterings with later explanations. The "He".

A young boy goes through a collection of objects on his desk from a relationship turned sour. This coming-of-age story switches from a first person p.o.v to third person p.o.v. Memories and flashbacks within each object unfold in the form of a movie with added commentary; to capture the downfall of his puppy love. At times this is humorous, embarrassing and reminiscent of 500 days of summer.
