Evaluate Appertaining To Books Defy Me (Shatter Me #5)
SEE FULL REVIEW HERE: https://whittynovels.wordpress.com/20...3/29/20It's still difficult to rate this book. Definitely not 4 or 5 stars, but I don't know if I could go lower. This book's two halves are competing to be the worst half: the first half is SO boring and over-explained with no plot points, and the second half is the characters calling themselves by new names with cliche and annoying dialogue. I didn't find myself as upset by this as I was the first time(s) I read it, but I don't

Im a mess. This was one of my most anticipated books of the year and it kinda let me down.I love the characters so much and they have been with me all these years but Defy Me was just a very long novella. There wasnt a consistent plot at all just exposition after exposition and character development. Now, I adore character driven books but this one was a filler. It wouldve been better if Tahereh just called this book a novella, but I guess the release of Shadow Me sort of ruined the novella

This trilogy was created to show us the future of the characters after the initial trilogy. Defy Me accomplishes this while simultaneous revealing the vast history behind this world that we didnt know existed. A past that even the characters did not know of up until the events of this bookWhen this past slowly unfurls its wings we also come to realise that Juliette and Warners past is a lot more tragic than that of Romeo and Juliet. We see the world through Kenji, Warner, and Juliettes

1.5 starsMe: dont disappoint me like Restore Me didDefy Me: okayDefy Me: *throws plot, characters, world building, everything into fire*DefyTraitor Me: you told me not to disappoint you, so I made you angryMe:Buckle up because this is a long one. It only took me four hours to write *hysterical laugh*And here ends my love story with the Shatter Me series. This is seriously the end, because FOR SURE Im not picking up the last book in this ridiculous continuation. I gave this series all my trust

4 StarsHello, my name is Tara, and I'm starting a support group for Shatter Me stans.Honestly, after the mess that was Restore Me, it's probably an understatement to say I was nervous for this book. I was terrified that the story and characters that are so beloved to me would be damaged beyond repair, until they were so unrecognisable from what I used to hold so dear that my memory of this series would be forever tainted. Now that I've read it, I'm going on the record to say I should have trusted

Review :Honestly, I think all my opinions on this book could be summed with that one gif above. But do you get what it means? No?Same.I think it's time to call it quits with this series. I wasn't pleased with Restore Me as it didn't really offer anything plot wise, but fuck, you give me Daddy Warner, I'll give you my soul (and my money)So I decided, ah, fuck it. Maybe Tahereh just need to get into the groove of writing the series again after so many years. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and

defy me was better than i was expecting, but still not as good as i wanted it to be. the fifth instalment in the shatter me series starts right after where restore me ended and the first thing i noticed? how small this book is. having considered the previous book in the series to be completely pointless, the size of this one made me wonder if these two couldnt have just been one longer book. needless to say, i was right.tahereh mafi is one incredible author. from her works, the only complaint i
